Network Intelligent. Mobile 2017

Mobile Network Intelligent - Brand of Excellence
Another interesting POV project that I was working with. The idea of this project was to create a mobile concept that would show that Verizon has the best 4G/LTE coverage.

Challenge
Ideas (Why’s) behind this project were:
- Surprise & Delight the customers who have a bad coverage.
- Allow the users to compare Verizon coverage with other providers.
- Allow customers to collect and analyze their speed performance data.
- Collect Network Performance Data for further company investigation.
My Thinking Process
My first step was to design a speed test functionality for the app. The app speed test implementation will allow users to collect the speed data in the different locations like Home, Work, etc. The next step was to design the map coverage functionality that allows users to see their current coverage, speed connection, and information about the closest satellite towers. In addition, the users will be able to compare the current coverage with the other provider’s coverage. The app will allow the users to rate the satellite tower and send a feedback. In order to increase customer app interaction even more, I created an idea of a Trip Planner that allows users to plan their network coverage for or during their trip.
Users
This project is concentrating on the Verizon’s users who have some kind of network performance issues. At this stage of the project and based on given requirements n additional user research was not required.

UX Patterns
To start any project to design it is very necessary to identify the UX patterns.

Results/ User Testing
This project got successfully presented to the Verizon business team and was approved for the further user testing.
After the user test performance on Speed Test, we got the user feedback in verbatim. The users considered the tool useful, and left us with several open questions in regards to what to do with the users who experienced the poor speed performance? How can we help them to stay with the company and prevent them from switching to another provider? This question was transferred to the Verizon Business team for further investigation.
